Established on June 18, 1915, on the bedrock of spiritual inspiration and blessings of the revered PP Acharya Bhagwant Yug Diwakar, Punjab Kesari Shri Vijay Vallabh Suriswarji Maharaj Saheb, Shri Mahavira Jain Vidyalaya stands as a beacon of service to the Jain community and religion for over 106 years.
SMJV Trust has diligently provided higher education facilities to Jain students through its 12 hostels, comprising 8 for boys and 4 for girls. Going beyond the provision of hostel facilities, the Vidyalaya also extends interest-free loans to Jain students pursuing higher education both within India and abroad.
Today, it holds the distinction of being one of the oldest institutions among Jain establishments in the country. Over the years, approximately 22,000 students have walked through the doors of Vidyalaya, equipped with the necessary skills to confront future challenges. Many of these accomplished individuals now occupy prominent positions in their respective fields and actively contribute to the welfare of the community and the nation.
